Dr. Lisa Woolston, DSW, LCSW
Dr. Lisa Woolston has dedicated her professional life to serving others. She is a Doctor of Social Work and a scholar-practitioner with three social work degrees. She is an LCSW in the state of Florida and an LMSW in the state of New York. She provides mental health services to adults and adolescent children. Her greatest strength is helping people move beyond being stuck,
feeling vulnerable and invisible to society.
Clinically, Dr. Woolston is a humanistic therapist, implementing an eclectic approach to support clients, often drawing heavily on Person-Centered Theory. She is a Trauma-Informed clinician who promotes safety, empowerment, and a healing culture. She is proud to work with the LGBTQ+ population and veterans. "Through empowerment, clients find a connection with me."
Lisa feels that it is important for her clients to know that she has lived experiences. She empathizes with people who are stuck in trauma. She works very well with seniors who feel lonely and isolated. People with severe mental health disorders do very well when able to be followed from hospitalization to home.
Dr. Woolstons's greatest strengths are empathy and communication. "Life does not happen without challenges. But, through talk therapy and resilience, strength and grit emerge."
